Florihana was born in 1993 from the marriage of two cultures: the French and the Japanese. The first part of the word Florihana comes from the French adjective “floral “, which means “from the flower”.
The second part comes from the Japanese word “Hana” (はな/花/ハナ), which means flower. Cultural diversity can inspire creativity and we hope to share the best of the cultures which Florihana comes from .
Plants with countless virtues and surprising colors have developed over millions of years.
We believe that cosmetics should incorporate this incredible diversity, which is why Florihana chose to craft its cosmetic line using natural and organic ingredients.
Chemistry is a manmade invention. However, we persist in using the biodiversity of plants as well as natural and organic certified ingredients to create products that respect both the environment and the human body.
The Florihana Distillery is located in the French region of Provence, also known as the “French Riviera“. The distillery can be found on the Plateau de Caussols, an area naturally rich in biodiversity.
The distillery is divided into 4 buildings, two of which are eco-friendly constructions made of wood from Finland. The Florihana organic farm covers 25 acres and is located at the center of over 2500 acres of wild lavender, thyme and savory.
Since its foundation, union with nature and preservation of the environment represent the primary and core values of Florihana, which we also apply in the development of our products.
